What is the Anima Christi Dance AI effect?

Where it came from

The earliest big post we found is @jio46683’s tutorial of 19 September 2026, which passed four million views, though the dance may be older. Posts of the same dance on different people followed through October, among them one of about 1.9 million views. We follow @jio46683’s post of 17 October, where one man dances alone for about three seconds.

What happens in the clip

• 0–1 seconds: a loose sway and a small side step.
• 1–2 seconds: quick hops with the knees lifting.
• 2–3 seconds: a leg swings out, the arms cross and a hand rises to the forehead.
• 3–4 seconds: a jump with a high knee lift.
• 4–5 seconds: one leg comes up high with the arms spread, then you land and smile.

Why it works

The routine is easy to recognise from a fixed camera and looks different on every person, which is why the same footwork was shown on so many dancers.
